Inventory Attendant/Forklift Driver – Long Term Opportunity!

About the Opportunity:

The Inventory Attendant/Forklift Driver provides support to successfully achieve production goals safely and efficiently in accordance with workshop policies and procedures. This individual will be responsible for replenishing materials from inventory to enclosing and print machines while upholding the highest level of quality, productivity and safety standards. Attention to detail, good quality control and organizational skills are a must!

Essential Functions:

  • Responsible for operating a forklift, or other powered equipment, to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count and/or tier materials.

  • Replenishes materials from inventory to enclosing and print machines on the production floor.

  • Responsible for restocking unused materials, scanning & tracking used materials and transporting palletized mail from enclosing machines to the mailroom.

  • Efficiently stack and store the merchandise in the appropriate areas.

  • Labels and palletizes materials.

  • Loads and unloads trucks.

  • Performs related recording, filing and retrieving duties.

  • Keep appropriate records and reports to guarantee accurate inventory.

  • Assist in physical inventories.

  • Ensure proper stock rotation.

  • Interacts with other work groups whose work precedes or follows that of the machine operator.

  • Handles, distributes and/or disburses important, confidential or secure information.

  • Performs duties with a high degree of accuracy.

  • Manages multiple machines or jobs simultaneously.

  • Troubleshoots minor equipment issues.

  • Works independently with little supervision.

  • Consistently maintains a clean work area.


  • Load, unload, move, stack and stage product and materials using a forklift, reach truck, electric pallet jack or other powered equipment.

  • Use WMS computer system for picking, receiving, put away and load functions, as required.

  • Maintain the facility’s equipment and materials in a neat, clean and orderly fashion.

  • Inspect and perform minor maintenance on the forklift or other equipment.

  • Operate all equipment in a safe and efficient manner following standard operating procedures.

Responsibilities and Additional Duties:

  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Participates in cross-training activities.

  • Provide on-the-job training to new employees.

Job Specifications/Personal Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

  • Minimum two (2) years’ verifiable forklift experience required.

  • Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required.

  • Manual dexterity required for operating machinery and computers.

  • Intermediate computer skills required.

  • Ability to work overtime if required (including weekends and holidays).

  • Other Requirements:

    • Must pass a criminal background, motor vehicle and drug screen.

    • Must pass on-site forklift certification

  • TRC requires that all employees placed in positions that will include the use of powered industrial trucks/vehicles:

  • Be at least age 21

  • Have a minimum of two (2) years’ verifiable forklift experience

  • Valid driver’s license for the state in which they are employed
