ASSEMBLY TECH II- DIRECT HIRE 2nd SHIFT MON- FRI 7:00AM- 3:30PM

BASIC PURPOSE:

  • Perform assembly functions in a production cell including brazing or calibration.Operates and troubleshoots production equipment.May perform minor adjustments as necessary.

MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES/RESPONSIBILITIES OF JOB:

  • Braze or Solder connections per requirements, using torch flame or induction equipment
  • Evaluate and repair gauges as needed
  • Operate production equipment
  • Assist in troubleshooting production equipment
  • Perform equipment changeovers
  • Responsible for quality control; make adjustments as necessary to produce product within specifications; reject product outside of specifications
  • Operate within standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions (WIs)
  • Complete daily production logs
  • Perform preventive maintenance, (PMs) such as daily inspections on production equipment and tools
  • Communicate with operators from other shifts
  • Clean and maintain work area (5S)
  • Ensure product is assembled to required configuration
  • Be able to work overtime if required (including weekends)
  • May perform on the job training to new employees
  • Perform other duties as assigned

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Strong and clear communication skills is a must
  • Ability to read and comprehend written instructions with no assistance
  • Ability to add, subtract, and record data onto tabulation sheets
  • Ability to receive verbal instructions and comprehend them
  • Experience with LEAN manufacturing concepts a plus
  • Computer literacy desired, but not required
  • Proficiency in 1 of the 2 categories
    • Soldering / Brazing OR
    • Calibration of OEM gauges
