Customer Service Account Representative

Established building materials company is looking for a Customer Service Account Representative to join their Huntersville, NC office. The hours for this position are Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM-4:00 PM. This is a temp-to-perm position and the pay will be up to $36K once perm, depending on experience. Casual work environment.

You must be able to pass a drug and background screen to start this position.

Job Overview:

The Customer Service Account Representative with be assigned to specific builder accounts and will be responsible for building relationships and coordinating various services for those accounts.

  • Customer Service Account Representative confirms with builder prior to installation to ensure builder is ready for delivery and installation.

  • Review dashboard of all scheduled/completed Quality Inspections every day to identify and complete action items:

    • Look up part numbers and input new order in system for damaged or missing parts

    • Question Quality Inspections that have possible inaccuracies (such as replacement parts that differ from original order)

    • Communicate with the builder regarding what parts have been ordered, when to expect the new parts, and if there is any additional charge.

  • The Customer Service Account Representative will follow up with clients until work is completed and customer is satisfied.


  • Ability to use multiple resources including online and printed catalogs to determine part numbers

  • Ability to work in multiple computer systems to document progress

  • Detail-oriented and accurate data entry skills to avoid orders being rejected

  • Great communication skills, both written and oral. Communication with clients will be conducted over both phone and email

  • Common sense and reasoning skills to identify potential problems and resolve them before they affect the client
