Position for an Electronics Technician

2nd and 3rd shifts

Position Summary:

The Electronics Technician duties consist of the testing, diagnosing, troubleshooting and repairing of electronic assemblies.

Qualifications required:

  • 1-3 years of related experience
  • Experienced in the operation of test equipment: oscilloscopes, digital volt meters, power supplies, generators and other miscellaneous test equipment
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings; read schematic diagrams and complex test specifications
  • Associates degree or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical engineering or equivalent work experience

Essential functions and responsibilities:

  • Perform bench level and automated testing of electronic assemblies.
  • Use test equipment such as oscilloscopes, digital meters, power supplies, frequency generators, and various other test equipment to perform functional tests.
  • Interpret and read schematic diagrams and complex test specifications.
  • Interpret measured data and accurately complete data sheets.
  • Troubleshoot electronic assemblies down to the component level.
  • Setup complex test systems as specified in the test procedures.

Physical demands and work environment:

  • While the regular working cycle of this job is usually 5 days on (Monday - Friday) 2 days off (Saturday and Sunday), working hours may vary.
  • This job may include working weekends (Saturday and Sunday)

  • Work environment: While performing duties of this job, the employee works on the production floor in the test center. The noise level in the work environment is usually minimal.
