Job Description

Our client, a large financial company, in Downtown Atlanta is seeking an experienced mailroom/facilities team member to join their team. This is an immediate, temp to hire position. While called an "Office Assistant" this position is mainly focused around our client's mail facilities center and this is a very active position. Interested candidate must be comfortable standing for long periods of time and walking throughout the office.

Job Duties & Expectations:

  • Receives & logs all incoming faxes, mail, packages, etc.
  • Retrieves and distributes incoming mail & packages to the appropriate party/department
  • Processes and logs all outgoing mail and packages (via FedEx, UPS, USPS, Certified Mail, etc.)
  • Arranges courier services and/or takes mail to the post office
  • Monitors postage meter balance & purchases additional postage as needed
  • Maintains inventory and coordinates all office supply ordering - as well as janitorial and kitchen supplies
  • Responsible for basic maintenance of office equipment (printers, fax machines, postage meter) and contacts 3rd party for service if/when needed
  • Prepares and maintains conference rooms
  • Scans documents into paperless document management systems

Qualifications & Experience Requested:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 1 year of experience is office services / facilities or a similar position
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work in a deadline driven setting with an attention to detail
