Our customer in Canton, GA is currently looking for an Imports Coordinator to join their team on a long term contract basis. This is a first shift role 8 AM to 5 PM.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for facilitating the completion of work assigned to the department as well as all activities related to Imports to establish and maintain management goals.
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
Minimum of 3-5 years of Purchasing and/or Supply Chain Management experience
Business to Native level Spanish
Experience with SAP is preferred.
Working knowledge of fundamentals of supply chain with emphasis in supply planning is preferred.
Knowledge of relevant computer applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point, Internet).
Good verbal and written communication and effective team building and leadership skills.
Attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong collaboration, planning/organization, analytical and problem solving skills
Process improvements experience required.
Ability to manage multiple assignments and prioritize accordingly.
Must be able to read, write, speak and communicate in both English and Spanish(optional).
Responsible for the procurement of parts from our overseas branches.
Maintain and coordinate HS Code with our forwarders.
Be a liaison between Engineering, Imports, QA, CS and Sales departments to facilitate PCR process.
On-going maintenance of SAP
Generate purchase orders and submit to vendors.
Handle timely delivery of purchase orders and expedite as required.
Maintain records and enter all purchasing information in SAP.
Support functional handling and resolving vendor issues.
Determine the shipping status of open orders as required.
Coordinate adjusted shipping schedules with vendors.
Liaises with other departments including Customer Service, Sales, Accounting and Receiving.
Coordinate with Accounting as required in order to resolve supplier invoice issues and freight cost.
Support the resolution of purchase order, packing slip and invoicing discrepancies for Receiving.
Coordinate and track the delivery schedules with the forwarding companies.
Marketing research (Monthly usages, the future requirements study).
Help develop and implement corrective action plans as necessary for inventory management.
