Corporate Merchandising Manager


  • Create project briefs outlining scope, objectives, creative guidelines, timing, deliverables and budget. Align briefs with stakeholders.

  • Field briefs and coordinate project execution with external partners, including creative agencies, fixture suppliers, logistics providers, customer affiliates & store personnel. Same applicable with internal partners including creative services, category management, finance & accounting, engineering and sales. Scope of project execution includes:

    • Identify and vet potential vendors for each element of a project. Coordinate request for proposals (RFP). Negotiate specifications, price, terms and conditions with vendors. Present recommendation and obtain approval to purchase.

    • Coordinate development of concept renderings and prototypes for team s approval.

    • Process purchase orders and invoices for all merchandising projects, including domestic and imports.

    • Coordinate delivery and setup of fixtures at store level.

    • Provide governance to the new merchandising development process, ensuring activities are compliant and budget properly deployed against prioritized projects.

    • Provide governance to the merchandising catalog (everyday off-the-shelf merchandising). Scope of governance includes:

      • SAP setup for inventoried fixtures, parts, and graphics.

      • Managing print assets on POP portal.

      • Maintain merchandising catalog on SharePoint.

      • Coordinate and consolidate annual fixture forecast.

      • Process orders and arrange payment for inventories maintained at 3rd parties.

      • Maintain merchandising budget tracking tools.

      • Intake/collect merchandising requirements from commercial teams, assess business case, recommend changes and prioritization.

  • BA degree in Marketing, Business, or Engineering

  • 5+ years of experience in store merchandising at major retailers.

  • Knowledge of creative process and print production.

  • Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously and having led them successfully to completion. Strong project planning, tracking & organizing skills.

  • Detail-oriented and operationally-focused.

  • Superb communication skills, clear and concise in both written and verbal communication.
