Production Supervisor

Location: College Park, Atlanta

TRC’ s client is an immediate need for a Production Supervisor to lead the new objectives of the organization. The family owned company is a leader in the food industry and has a passion for providing the highest quality product to customers. You will be responsible for directing production teams (up to 20 people) to achieve company goals in a safe manner.

The Day to Day:

  • Punctuality and attendance of line team (In/out and meal breaks) and assures employees are at their assigned position at the beginning of the work shift.

  • Bar code accuracy of finished goods.

  • Assuring adequate materials and supplies for line production (scanners, labels, etc.) are available as needed to avoid down time.

  • Directs and monitors production line activities to ensure quality and safety of products, including, but not limited to, texture and freshness of product.

  • General housekeeping; encourage safety by insisting on a clean, safe work environment, and ensure that employees are following prescribed safety procedures, which includes each employee wearing the proper personal protective equipment.

  • Health and Safety of production team and adherence of GMPs and Safety policies and procedures. Includes addressing reporting infractions.

  • Follow through ensuring leads, operators and other personnel are accountable for their areas of responsibility and to ensure smooth work transition between the two shifts.

  • Maintain quality and safety of products by making sure that employees meet company and USDA specifications.

  • Discipline employees following the company’ s established disciplinary procedure.

  • Communicates job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures.

  • Develop highly productive personnel and work teams by providing ongoing training and delegating specific duties to key personnel.

  • Ensures new employees are properly trained, work hours are monitored, and overtime controlled.

  • Report any food safety issues and any other HACCP violations.

  • Ensure that all machines are operating and that machine operators are properly trained to ensure optimum efficiency.

  • Other responsibilities may be given

To Be Successful:

  • Understand the plant and the lines and how they are run

  • 3-10 years of experience

  • Degree is not required

  • Experience in similar role/manufacturing environment

  • Able to work 6 days a week 1st shift

  • Must have experience in Food industry

  • Experience leading individuals

  • Aligns well with organizations goals and expectations
