One of our top clients in the Johns Creek area is seeking a new Project Manager on a full time basis to join their evolving and growing team. Candidate must have experience with eye care industry
Based on GFT driven portfolio strategy, Project Head III is responsible for planning, development, execution, and management of the assigned Projects to achieve strategic and operational objectives set up by Vision Care R&D management.
Provides overall leadership to the project team with clear direction and guidance.
Organizes, coordinates and manages cross-functional project work.
Ensures high performance execution of key milestones.
This role will collaborate with cross-functionally with Global Franchise (GFT), MTO, Clinical, Regulatory, Quality, PPM and Region Franchise management to coordinate and execute project tasks and communicate project status.
The Project Head will lead the overall progression of development projects in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
Serves as the key point of contact for all project information, including the preparation of key project/portfolio information and maintaining project documentation.
Support Development in interactions with external stakeholders (e.g., regulatory authorities, key opinion leaders, Scientific advisory boards, internal stakeholders (e.g., Research, Exploratory Development, Global Clinical & Medical Affairs, Marketing etc.), and internal governance.
Ensure all functions supporting the project team are adequately resourced.
Elevate issues to Head of Projects and or Senior Management.
Accountable for developing realistic project budget forecasts and timely flagging of budget variations with rationale.
Based on Complexity of project or based on where project is in development timelines, Project Head III is typically responsible for strategic projects and may manage multiple projects.
Management of medium to large scale projects in compliance with the R&D Governance process.
Project head is expected to be a project driver and have a good understanding of science in the assigned therapeutic area.
Needs to have a solid sense of urgency.
Conduct and participate in face-to-face meetings with associates and external contractors locally as well as at US headquarters in Fort Worth and Development sites in Germany and Asia.
Project Head is expected to have a good understanding of the technical or clinical science associated with new contact lens development.
Strong project management, interpersonal, communication, negotiation and problem solving skills.
Considerable organizational awareness (e.g., inter-relationship of departments, business priorities), including significant experience working cross-functionally and in global teams.
Monitor progress versus plan, identify problems and deviations, take corrective action, track total cost versus budget and control spending within approved limits.
Mentor and Coach PH I/II is on Project Leadership best practices, and provide guidance as needed.
Provide inputs to Head of Projects on adoption of tools, methodologies to improve productivity and processes.
Bachelor s Degree or Equivalent years of directly related experience (or high school +18 yrs; Assoc.+14 yrs; M.S.+7 yrs; PhD+6 yrs)
The ability to fluently read, write, understand and communicate in English
10 Years of Relevant Experience (eye care industry experience)
