Our customer is currently looking for a Regional Sales Manager for a firm that specializes in industrial automation machinery parts such as drives, motors and repair services.

Job description

As a Regional Sales Manager you will be responsible for growing a portfolio of business in the Midwest territory. The candidate will sell new products and services to grow the territory by adding new clients. You will develop sales proposals, estimates, specifications and presentations for customers. Other responsibilities include preparing thorough strategic plans, call reporting, gaining comprehensive product knowledge as well as keeping current on market trends. You will be the primary point of contact for customers for the sales process and engineering.

Qualifications

Qualified candidates will have a minimum of a four-year degree in a relevant field and 3+ years’ experience in industrial automation sales selling multiple product lines similar to the organization. Experience managing a sales territory coupled with a broad understanding of the industrial automation marketplace is essential. The ability to penetrate new potential clients and form relationships with existing clients in the territory is crucial to your success.

Key Requirements

Ideal candidate would be a true self-starter in nature, have passion for and general knowledge of solution selling and/ or consultative selling process to industrial OEMs. A ‘hunter” mentality with ability to prospect, qualify and win incremental business. Focus account management, develop strong relationships with key decision makers at focus accounts, development and effective management of the sales pipeline. Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong knowledge of Motion Control, Motors, Drives and industrial automation. Knowledge of Allen Bradley or Siemens or B&R Automation industrial automation products will be beneficial.
