Assist the Controller by maintaining general ledger and assisting with monthly reporting and analysis.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Includes the following. Other duties might be assigned:
Cost Center reporting, analysis and distribution to managers
Monthly management reports and presentation
Assists with coding invoices and PO’s to correct ledger accounts
Maintains Vendor and customer master data
Responsible for all government census and reporting
Assists with the treatment of leases and updates the Global Leasing system
Performs the travel expenses reconciliation and bank reconciliations
Maintains and reconciles Cylinder expense analyses
Performs monthly personnel analysis
Maintains Accounts Receivable Roll forward
Maintains Functional Profit and Loss statement
Plays a key role in the Annual Audit
Assists with Physical inventory and reconciliation
Plays a key role in Month closing tasks
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s Degree (B.A.) in Accounting/Business from four-year college or university; or five years’ experience and/or training, including computerized general ledger experience or
Equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulation
Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry
Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Knowledge of Accounting software
Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software
Experience in SAP Program helpful but not necessary.
